Valentine's Day Projects

Here is a peek at a few Valentine's Day projects I did this month. The Ghiradell chocolates box came were made using a cutfile from Okie here: http://okieladybugsscrapnmore.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-valentine-gift-to-my-readers.html
I made the Valentine mailbox for my niece with the help of a croppin cricut friend. Thanks PegMc for making the Minnie Mouse for me! *Now I bought my own Mickey and Friends cartrdige!*

The Love jar I made for my coworkers (now former coworkers) Hi Jen and Lori! I used vinyl from Uppercase living for those. The jars are CHEAPIES from WalMart!
The soap I saw the idea for on another blog.... ummm I think here: http://wipkits.blogspot.com/
once again the vinyl was from Uppercase living and the soap cost $1 and I removed the label.
and lastly the frame I made for Jen's b-day.

Cricut Cartridge Storage

I received this wonderful snapware container as a White Elephant gift at the IA Swarm. I finally have had time to cut down my plastic canvas and make the dividers for the container. It was tedious but I did get it done! This is certainly going to help me simplify my life in 2009! I do need to add onto this container so I have more room for books and overlays. I do however have plenty of room for more cartriges! HINT HINT! I will be labeling the tops of my cartridges too!
If you would like instructions on this check out the cricut forum here: http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=3433071&mpage=1

New Years Resolution

In 2009 I resolve to be more organized! This cart my Mil and Fil gave me for Christmas will be a great start!
Also I plan to follow Ali Edwards suggestion. On Ali's blog she talked about choosing a word that you would like to focus on for the year 2009 .

I chose simplify.
sim⋅pli⋅fy  [sim-pluh-fahy]
verb (used with object), -fied, -fy⋅ing.
to make less complex or complicated; make plainer or easier: to simplify a problem.

Yummy Peanut Butter Fudge

I thought I would try my hand at making homemade fudge this year. My husband who is not much of a peanut butter fan said it was so so. My kids and I loved it! Here is the recipe that I actually found on the cricut forum posted by ohmama!

Peanut Butter Fudge

1 cup butter 1 cup peanut butter 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla put butter & peanut butter in bowl and microwave 2 min. stir. microwave again for 2 min. stir in powdered sugar & vanilla line 8x8 pan with wax paper. butter wax paper and spread mixture evenly in pan. cover with wax paper, pressing down to seal in mixture. refridgerate until set and cut into 1" pieces
